MRI
Magnetic Resonance Imaging, or MRI, uses a powerful field magnet and radio waves to provide clear and detailed diagnostic images of internal body organs and tissues. MRI’s are a valuable tool for the diagnosis of a broad range of conditions, including cancer, heart and vascular disease, stroke, joint and musculoskeletal disorders.
CT
CT (Computed Tomography), also called a CAT scan, uses x-rays and computer equipment to produce cross-sectional images of the body. CT imaging is useful because it can show several types of body parts, such as lung, bone, soft tissue and blood vessels.
PET
Positron Emission Tomography (PET) is a nuclear medicine procedure that produces pictures of the body’s biological functions. PET is able to capture chemical and physiological changes related to metabolism, as opposed to gross anatomy and structure, which is obtained by CT and MRI.
Ultrasound
Ultrasound imaging, also known as Ultrasonography, is a method of obtaining diagnostic images from inside the human body through the use of high-frequency sound waves. Ultrasonography is used as a diagnostic tool that can assist radiologists and technologists with making recommendations for further treatment.

X-Ray
X-ray is the oldest and most frequently used form of medical imaging. X-rays produce digital, diagnostic images of the human body and most commonly are used by doctors to view and assess the skeletal system for injury.
Bone Densitometry (DEXA)
A Dual-energy X-ray Absorptiometry (DXA) scan, also known as a Bone Density or Bone Densitometry Scan, is a non-invasive test that measures bone mineral density to assess if a person is at risk of fracture or osteoporosis. It is also useful in tracking the effects of treatment for osteoporosis and other conditions that can cause bone loss.
